Remembering the Marketplace of the Midsouth

I believe that is the Dinstuhls candy store visible inside the mall here. The Dinstuhl Family has been making quality candies in Memphis since 1902. They still have stores in several Memphis malls.

This updated facade at the entrances was an attempt to put a new face on the mall, slightly changing it's original presentation.

During demolition. it appeared from the interstate that this arch was the last thing standing. I thought they might leave it as a reminder, but in the end it was gone too....
