Fredericks of Hollywood

My grandmother (no, this is NOT a typo) came to Memphis for the express purpose of buying a cocktail dress from Fredricks of Hollywood just before Christmas of 1982. At the time, it was the only Fredricks of Hollywood in Tennessee, outside of Nashville. --BJN--

I was surprised that a Fredricks was in the Mall..much less "bible-belt" Memphis. I learned from a Hahn leasing representative that Fredricks would only consider leasing space in a city where a high percentage of their catalog sales are generated. Says a lot about what went on behind closed doors in Memphis...lol. DA
