The Claridge Hotel

Originally the luxurious Claridge Hotel, The Claridge House retains all the dignity and elegance that made it a Memphis landmark, now listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Built in 1924, the Claridge was a major center for social and business activity downtown. Its proximity to the trolley line, business centers, Government Plaza, the riverfront, and Beale Street made it a popular stop for the wealthy and powerful in an age of high style. The convenient location that helped establish the Claridge as a premier hotel makes it an ideal downtown home today. The Claridge House is moments away from Memphis’ new additions, such as Red Birds Stadium, the Cook Convention Center, FedEx Forum, and medical centers, like St. Jude.
